The Sugar Loaf helmet's pointed top served to deflect blows to the head. Soldiers during the late 12th Century relied on it to protect them in battle.
Differences in size and appearance may occur as this helmet is hand crafted. It is forged from 18 gauge steel. It features narrow eye slits and a distinctive wedge shaped pattern of small air holes in the mask.
The helmet is full sized and wearable for costume or will look great on display.
